AngelPass gives your loved ones everything they need, exactly when they need it. A secure USB drive and password escrow service — simple, trusted, and ready when the time comes.
Searching for the will. Hunting for insurance documents. Trying to cancel direct debits without account numbers. Calling banks that won't speak to anyone but the deceased.
At the worst possible moment, families are left scrambling through filing cabinets, old email accounts, and drawers full of unopened post — for weeks, sometimes months.
It doesn't have to be this way.
Three steps. No technical knowledge required. Everything set up in an afternoon.
We send you a secure, password-protected USB drive and your unique authentication code. Load it with everything that matters — at your own pace, in your own time.
Give your authentication code to whoever you trust most — a spouse, a child, a solicitor. They keep it safe. They don't need to do anything until the time comes.
When the time comes, your person contacts us with the authentication code and a death certificate. After verification, we release the USB password securely. Everything is there.
A helpful guide — load as much or as little as you like. Every document you add is one less thing for your family to worry about.
How we protect your password
We never see your documents. They stay on your physical USB drive, in your home. We hold the password that protects it — but it cannot be released without the authentication code held independently by our partner solicitor firm. Neither party can act alone.
Our SRA-regulated partner solicitor firm holds your authentication code in their own secure vault. AngelPass cannot access it. If we ever ceased trading, they retain the codes and continue to process outstanding claims.
Even if AngelPass were compromised, the password cannot be released without the authentication code confirmed by an independent, SRA-regulated solicitor. Two separate organisations. Both required.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office and operate under full GDPR compliance.
We hold UK government-backed Cyber Essentials certification — independently verified security, not just a promise.

AngelPass won't change what happens. But it will change what happens next.
A clear, compassionate process — designed to be as simple as possible for grieving families.
The nominated person contacts us online or by phone, quoting the unique authentication code given to them by the deceased.
A certified copy of the death certificate is submitted via our secure digital verification service or by recorded post.
The nominated person completes a simple identity check — photo ID and proof of address — using our trusted digital verification partner.
A mandatory 10–14 day waiting period (5 days on Premium) allows us to complete checks and, in the rare event of a dispute, gives time for resolution.
The USB password is released via encrypted secure message. The nominated person can now unlock the drive and access everything they need.

Never. Your documents are stored on your physical USB drive, which stays in your home. We hold the password that protects the drive, but it cannot be released without the authentication code held independently by our partner solicitor firm — an SRA-regulated practice with its own secure vault. We never have access to your files, and no one can release your password without both parties acting together.
This is a question we take very seriously. Our partner solicitor firm holds all authentication codes independently under a formal business continuity agreement. If AngelPass were ever to cease trading, they would continue to process any outstanding death claims and write to all living customers. We also maintain a six-month subscription reserve to fund any wind-down period.
If the code is lost during your lifetime, contact us and we will co-ordinate with our partner solicitor firm to re-issue a new one after verifying your identity. An administration charge applies and the original code is immediately superseded. If the code is lost after your death, the claimant will need to go through a higher-verification pathway including a Grant of Probate. We strongly recommend storing the code safely alongside a note explaining what AngelPass is.
We send multiple reminders before any action is taken. If a subscription lapses, we maintain a 12-month grace period before taking any irreversible steps. We understand that a lapsed subscription does not necessarily mean the customer is still alive — so we take a careful, measured approach. The lifetime plan option removes this concern entirely.
Yes — whoever holds the physical code card can present it as part of a claim. Registering a nominated person with AngelPass is optional but recommended, as it simplifies the claim process. On Premium and Family plans you can register up to three nominated persons. We recommend letting your chosen person know about AngelPass and where you've stored the code.
Set up in an afternoon. Peace of mind that lasts a lifetime.
